Jenny
Frances and Ricardo Oria
UK/Argentina -
Tango Tangk February 26-28 & Tangkademy November 26-28
It is a
great pleasure for us to welcome back this amazing tango couple to
Bramshaw. They have taught Tangks for several years running and always
make a huge impression on our dance community.
Jenny and Ricardo have a
strong foundation of study for their dance, from which they build
creatively, moved and inspired by the music and the subtle yet powerful
conversation within the embrace. They use their extensive teaching
experience to offer the best they can to their students, understanding
the responsibility of teaching tango dance and approaching it with joy.
Jenny and Ricardo emphasise the importance in learning tango of gaining
a sense of your partner, a sense of yourself and a sense of the music.
Not only teaching ‘what’, but also ‘how’ and
prioritising steps that are useful in social dancing.
Our workshop weekends
demand a lot from visiting teachers as they deliver group workshops,
private lessons, demonstration dances and getting to know us all -
Jenny & Ricardo always generously deliver 110% and leave us wanting
more.

Korey Ireland and Adeline Scheiferstein
USA/Germany -
Tango Tangk March 26 -28
It is with
great pleasure
that we announce Korey's return to Bramshaw to teach a Tango Tangk in
March
with Adeline Scheiferstein.
The Tango Tangk will draw on Korey's skills as a teacher and as a
musician to lead workshops with a focus on making the most of the music
in your dance. Korey has taught with Mila in the past, but this year he
is partnered
by Adeline, a beautiful, expressive dancer and teacher from
Berlin. Korey has always made a huge
impression of participants in previous
workshops and we expect the event to sell out very quickly. Booking is
open now.
Adeline
Schieferstein is amongst the most sought after dancers and instructors
working in Berlin. She teaches regularly at Mala Junta, Berlin's
largest tango school, and is a guest instructor at Tango Tanzen Macht
Schon and Nou.
Her training includes 10 years of jazz dance, 7 years of tango
(including intensive study in Buenos Aires) training in dance pedagogy
at IEG in Berlin, and the El Corte teacher training program with
Eric Jeurisen in Nijmegen, Holland. She has a deep interest in her
students, their process of learning, and the joy that they find in
tango. |

Ines
Moussavi and Constantin Rüger
Germany - Tango
Tangk April 23-25 and Super Tangk September 24-26
The
inimitable Ines and Constantin always deliver a superb weekend of
workshops at Bramshaw. We announce them as 'world class teachers ' with
no hyperbole intended and it is with great pleasure that we host them
for two events this year.
We select teachers for a Tangk for their combination of beautiful
dancing, accomplished teaching technique and a generosity of spirit
which allows them to focus the hearts and minds of our dancers for the
whole weekend.
Ines is a teacher's teacher who offers a profound understanding and
delivers effortless elegance in her tango teaching and dancing.
Constantin has a playful energy and lighthearted approach which makes
their classes a joyful experience. But don't be fooled by his 'cheeky'
nature, he is a brilliant dancer and astute teacher with an eye for the
smallest details.
Together they will make a learning experience you will never forget.

Melina Sedo and Detlef Engel
Germany - Super
Tangk May 28-30
We
are delighted that Bramshaw hosted this fantastic couple's first UK
workshop in 2009. Little known in the UK, they are well respected in
Europe and the USA and are invited to perform in the birthplace of
tango - Buenos Aires.
The Super Tangk they taught in 2009 was regarded by many as being the
best ever. It was a great joy and privilege for me to experience
their teaching style at first hand as I partnered one of our tangueras.
The content and style of their teaching will reach into the nooks and
crannies of your dance, nipping and tucking little faults and
inconsistancies that you are not aware of and improve your dance, your
posture and your ability to communicate across the embrace (from both
dancer's perspectives) in a way that you would not believe is possible.
They did this to my dance and I can't wait to experience a second
installment.
If I had to sum up their teaching in one sentence it would be: Melina
and Detlef completely changed my dance for the better in one weekend!
Such is the virtuosity and elegance of this couple, even though their
demonstration dance remained focussed on pure salon tango technique and
simple musicality - it made more of an impression on our dance
community than any other demo we have featured.
