"The dancers body is simply the luminous manifestation of their soul. This is the truly creative dancer, natural but not imitative, speaking in movement out of self and out of something greater than all selves"

Celebrating 25 Tango Tangks
Immerse yourself in a tango weekend in the New Forest. We offer two different workshops - the Tangkademy and the Super Tangk (we advise you which event is most suitable for your level of technique).

For our 25th Tangk in June, we hosted Biki and Muzo from Utrecht and experienced their inspirational teaching. Next year we plan to have them back to teach both a Tangkademy and a Super Tangk.

This year, Steve has been relegated to the dance floor and the BBQ will be provided by a superb local catering company.
Don't forget to reserve a place and let us know if you want a meat or veggy meal!
Have you booked your place at the BBQ 'longa' milonga on Saturday 18 July?

Reservations req. for BBQ.
Bramshaw Village Hall, SO43 7JE
2.30pm - 12am + supper £16
or 8pm - 12am milonga £7

This year we are hiring a professional catering company to provide the BBQ so please email us to reserve a place and let us know if you are a veggy or a meat eater. Reserve your place(s)

Happy Anniversary Tango UK!
2009 leaflet
Tango UK is celebrating its 10th anniversary. We have been busy planning this special year and have 72 events lined up for you.

As we look back at what we have achieved over the last 10 years, we realise that we could not have done it as effectively without the Tango UK website which is designed, developed and edited in-house. We have logged just under 1 million hits since we started recording statistics in January 2004. Thank you all for your interest!

Tango Tangk Raises the Bar
A dear friend and music maestro once told me "people seem to have forgotten how to humble themselves to a learning process". I have been reminded of his comments as we implement a specific level of technique for dancers wanting to attend a Tango Tangk.
Most dancers accept and trust our decision about their ability, but some react as though we have insulted or humiliated them. Humility and effective learning go hand in hand, and sadly, dancers who have not yet made this connection compromise their ability to improve their dance.

Tango is about sharing

Steve and Debbie recommend www.liftshare.org to share car journeys and cut costs.
After joining this free service, members simply register their journey and the system lists all potential matching journeys. The matches are displayed in both table and map format, allowing the user to easily find the most suitable people.
Having found a match the user simply sends an automated email to any likely matches and arranges to travel together. Join
