"The dancers body is simply the luminous manifestation of their soul. This is the truly creative dancer, natural but not imitative, speaking in movement out of self and out of something greater than all selves"

"Movement is the door to learning"

Super Tangks are a protected learning space where all dancers attending share the same minimum standard of technique in salon tango.
Tango UK runs this event on an invitation only basis. Invites are extended to dancers who have at least three years experience, have attended previous Tango UK key stage events and have had their technique appraised by Tango UK.

Immerse yourself in a weekend of top level Argentine tango workshops, with an open dance floor during the day for practicing and private lesson opportunities and three evening milongas.

To keep the price as low as possible, we all contribute food to share over the weekend and help with the chores. We also prepare and eat meals together which enhances the feeling of community.

Visiting maestros teach five workshops over the weekend, and usually develop a theme, making the content more challenging as the weekend progresses.

Participants are limited to 18 couples which allows the teachers time to give each dancer individual attention.

Over the last ten years, Tango UK has been developing a dance pedagogy. In 2008 we launched the Super Tangk. It is the only workshop in the UK that requires every dancer to be appraised to ensure a common standard.

The Super Tangk is our top level workshop and has received much acclaim from students and teachers alike.

The weekend takes places in a village hall with a sprung maple dance floor in the beautiful New Forest. There is plenty of parking and and good kitchen facilities. In the summer, we can eat and relax outside in the garden.

If you are travelling from outside the area, there are several local B&Bs and hostelries to choose from, and some of our local dancers have rooms to rent. B&Bs
