"The
dancers body is simply
the luminous manifestation of their soul. This is the truly creative
dancer, natural but not imitative, speaking in movement out of self and
out of something greater than all selves"
Isadora Duncan

11th - 12th October 2008
Steve
and Debbie are teaching a weekend tango course at Tangiamo!
in Shrewsbury this Autumn. The event will take place in the historic Morris Hall, an Elizabethan
mansion built in 1582 in the centre of Shrewsbury.
Steve and Debbie are advising the organisers on the format for the
weekend based on their experience of running the acclaimed Tango Tangks
at Bramshaw.
The weekend offers four workshops; two progressive sessions on Saturday
and two on Sunday with a milonga BOTH nights. The workshops are
designed for dancers with a year's experience, but Steve and Debbie's
layered teaching methods will challenge dancers of all levels.
The workshops are limited to
20 couples to
create the best learning environment. A full programme is detailed
below and you can book your places online now or if you prefer to pay by cheque, please contact the local organisers. DETAILS
Day tickets include 2 workshops per day, access to hall all day for
free dancing (except when workshops are running), practica, evening
milonga and hot/cold drinks all days.
Saturday
£27 per person. Sunday
£27 per person
Places are
limited to 20 couples per workshop. Please book with a partner. Workshops will
occasionally request a change of partner.
Like the Tango Tangk, we share mealtimes and invite all dancers to
contribute food for two meals a day. To keep the cost of the event as
low as possible, we all share chores like cooking, washing and drying
up, moving chairs, etc. If you don't want to eat with us, there are
pubs in the High Street close by.
Can't make the workshops? Dance with us in the evenings. Both Saturday
and Sunday milongas are open to all. No need to book - tickets will be
available on the
door at £7 per person. (Milonga entry is included in the price of
the Tangiamo! day
tickets). |
