"The
dancers body is simply the
luminous manifestation of their soul. This is the truly creative
dancer, natural but not imitative, speaking in movement out of self and
out of something greater than all selves"

| Suitable for
dancers who have learned how to make
an 'axis' and can pivot in
balance on their axis and have been attending
regular classes for more than one year. All dancers are asked to
demonstrate this core skill at the start of the workshop. Not sure if
you can do this?
Please ask us. |
The Tango
Tangk is a weekend workshop organised by Steve and
Debbie Morrall, hosting very special tango teachers from around the
world.
Immerse yourself in a weekend of Argentine tango workshops, with an
open dance floor from 10.15am to 8pm for practicing, private lessons
opportunities and three evening milongas.
SAMPLE PROGRAMME
To keep the price as low as possible, we all contribute food to share
and help with the chores.
We also prepare and eat meals together which helps to nurture a sense
of
community.
You can read
comments and thank you
messages from participants - this event touches people's
hearts and minds. READ |
Visiting
maestros teach four workshops over
the
weekend, and usually develop a theme, making the content more
challenging as the weekend progresses.
Participants are
limited to 18 couples
which gives the teachers an opportunity to deliver the group lessons
and
still have time to give each dancer individual attention.
Over the last ten years, Tango UK has been developing a dance pedagogy.
Our curriculum of workshops and events progresses dancers from their
first steps to elegant and confident movement.
The Tango Tangk is the penultimate level workshop, specifically aimed
at preparing dancers for the Super Tangk.

The event
takes places in a village hall
in the beautiful New Forest. The hall has a sprung maple dance floor.
There is
plenty of parking and good kitchen facilities. In the summer,
we
eat
and relax in the garden. LOCATION
